THE NATURAL SCIENCES AND ENGINEERING RESEARCH COUNCIL OF CANADA

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada is a Canadian government agency that is aiming to make Canada a country of discoverers and innovators for the benefit of all Canadians. The agency supports university students in their advanced studies, promotes and supports discovery research, and fosters innovation by encouraging Canadian companies to participate and invest in post-secondary research projects. NSERC researchers are on the vanguard of science, building on Canada’s long tradition of scientific excellence.

THE NATIONAL RESEARCH COUNCIL-INDUSTRIAL RESEARCH ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The National Research Council-Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP) is Canada's premier innovation assistance program for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It is a vital component of the NRC, a cornerstone in Canada's innovation system, regarded world-wide as one of the best programs of its kind.

CANADA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

The object of the Agency is to promote the long-term economic development of the regions of Quebec by giving special attention to those where slow economic growth is prevalent or opportunities for productive employment are inadequate. In carrying out its object, the Agency shall take such measures as will promote cooperation and complementarity with Quebec and communities in Quebec.

EXPORT DEVELOPMENT CANADA

Export Development Canada is Canada's export credit agency and a State-owned enterprise wholly owned by the Government of Canada. Its mandate is to support and develop trade between Canada and other countries and Canada's competitiveness in the international market-place. EDC products and services include trade credit insurance, export financing for Canadian companies and for their foreign customers, bonding solutions, international market expertise, as well as information on opportunities in international markets.

THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF METROPOLITAN MONTREAL

The mission of the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal (formerly known as Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal) is to act as the voice of Montréal’s business community and to promote the prosperity of the city and its businesses.

The Chamber is involved in key areas of economic development, advocating a philosophy of action based on engagement, credibility, proactivity, collaboration, and innovation.

RESEARCH INSTITUTE FOR SYMBOLIC COMPUTATION

RISC (Research Institute for Symbolic Computation), an institute of the Johannes Kepler University Linz, was founded in 1987 by Professor Buchberger. Since its foundation RISC has developed into one of the world’s leading institutes in the area of symbolic computation, a young and highly topical research area at the intersection of mathematics and computer science.
